The trail starts from the lodge and extends into a serene farmyard area gradually transforming into indigenous forestland. Visitors can spot vibrant bird species and discover diverse plant life.

One of the projects includes recycling to reduce reliance on new raw materials, conserve energy and minimize pollution. The Team is making significant strides toward a cleaner, healthier environment by creatively integrating recycled bottles into stylish decor and efficient irrigation elements, transforming waste into both aesthetics and functional essentials within the Lodge. This project not only promotes sustainability but also fosters creativity and talent among our team. 

Fun Facts about Lake Nakuru National Park

• A UNESCO World Heritage Site: Lake Nakuru is part of the Great Rift Valley Lake System, recognized globally for its ecological and biological importance.
• Flamingo Paradise: The Park is world-famous for hosting thousands of flamingos that create a pink carpet along the lake’s shoreline, feeding on the algae-rich waters.
• Diverse Wildlife: With over 450 bird species and 56 mammal species, including lions, leopards and the endangered Rothschild's giraffe, it is a haven for biodiversity.
• Rhino Sanctuary: The Park is a designated sanctuary for black and white rhinos, ensuring the survival of these over majestic species.
• Tree-Climbing Lions: A unique sight in the park is lions resting on acacia trees, an uncommon behavior that fascinates visitors.
• Spectacular Landscapes: From grasslands to rocky cliffs and euphorbia forests, the park offers stunning and varied views.
• The Baboon Cliff Viewpoint: one of the park's highlights is the Baboon Cliff Viewpoint, which provides a panoramic view of the lake and surrounding landscapes, perfect for photography and relaxation.
• “Makat” – Dusty Origins: The name Nakuru originates from the Maasai word "Makat," meaning "dusty place," reflecting the region's semi-arid environment.
• Shifting Waterlines: the Lake’s water level fluctuates due to rainfall and geological activity, continually reshaping the landscape.
• A Legacy of Conservation: Established in 1961, Lake Nakuru National Park was among Africa’s first protected areas dedicated to wildlife conservation.

Featuring stunning watercolor depictions of local wildlife, the exhibition celebrated creativity while deepening the connection between art, nature and conservation.

In rural Kenya, where access to quality environmental education remains limited, students often lack the tools and knowledge to address pressing issues like drought, overgrazing and land fragmentation. By showcasing these captivating artworks, the exhibition not only raised funds to support student school fees and wildlife club activities but also aimed to bridge this gap by fostering awareness, connection, and action for sustainable solutions, empowering the next generation of conservation leaders.
