We are thrilled to announce a groundbreaking achievement in sustainable tourism: Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort has proudly earned the prestigious Gold Ecorating Certification, marking a first for Sopa Lodges! This accolade reflects the unwavering dedication and teamwork of our exceptional staff, who are committed to environmental and social stewardship.
In tandem, Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge has secured a commendable Silver Ecorating Certification, showcasing our collective efforts across the business. Through rigorous assessments, both lodges have demonstrated excellence in environmental conservation, community engagement, and cultural preservation.
Our initiatives, from lake clean-up efforts to our Adopt a Tree Program, highlight our commitment to a greener future. Join us in celebrating these milestones as we continue to pave the way for eco-conscious tourism!
At Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge, we recently partnered with the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) - Lake Nakuru National Park for a special visit to Naishi Game Comprehensive School, where we aimed to inspire young minds about wildlife conservation.
Accompanied by KWS Nakuru Region Community Wardens, our team engaged with students, sharing fascinating insights about the unique ecosystems of Lake Nakuru National Park. The wardens emphasized the importance of preserving our wildlife, sparking curiosity and enthusiasm among the children.
In addition to education, we donated 320 kg of dry maize from our organic garden to support the school’s Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) Porridge Programme. This nutritious meal helps fuel the children’s growth and learning, reinforcing our commitment to community welfare.
Seeing the smiles on the students' faces reminded us of the impact we can make when we come together. At Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge, we are dedicated to fostering conservation and community support, ensuring a brighter future for both our environment and the next generation.
